PHASE 2 CHAIR RECOVER

You can see the chair on the right with the ottoman....my goal was to make it sort of Restoration Hardware.ish...soooo I sanded all the stain off, then the parts I couldn't get off I repainted in the creases with white paint then sanded again.  I have always wanted to have something covered in the cool dropcloths at Lowes...This is my chance...now it is off to the upholster. The cabinet is from Living Spaces new line of reclaimed wood pieces...

Yay for the new chair...love the fabric...I bought the 10oz dropcloth....the casual nubby look is exactly what I wanted...I especially like the no specific color for the room so I can add my own pops of color when I choose and the fabric color doesn't determine that for me...This cloth seems to be at home with any color of beige...so cool...one more chair to go...the gold chair, I think I will leave the dark wood and have covered in dropcloth right out of the package not washed...not very different...oh well...I haven't made the pillow yet ,for the chair above, try not to notice,  you get the idea of the pillow fabric...This gold has just gotta go...

I think this turned out to be the perfect color for the corner...

YAY for paint dropcloths...

You can see the cool oat mealie color...lol

Well, this is a picture of the room pretty much completed, and yes this is the deer from Horchow (thanks for the tip between napsontheporch)  I just happened to hit the 30% off free shipping day...yay...I did however paint the brown plaque to match the walls and the deer was a little cream so I added a little white...I like the way it turned out....The larger Santos Doll is from my daughter Michelle, and the smaller one was a gift from a friend...they are so sweet...

I think next summer I will take away the animal print and add some blue for a cool summer look or maybe some apple green...yay for options...

I am showing both sides of the room, hope you are getting the casual vibe I was going for...I think I will have a white mantle surround built for the fireplace and just leave the  mirror...

The chandy is from Pottery Barn...and lights up the entire ceiling with such cool facets...The man and woman standing in front of the cabinet my husband and I purchased 34 years ago...when I put them in front of the cabinet they looked like they were window shopping...lol
Thanks for stopping by...I hope you are inspired to try some new things in one of your rooms

Love the changes and it's the perfect neutral backdrop for your planned pops of seasonal color!
